When installing this slip ring, do NOT fix both the rotor shaft and the outer body tightly at the same time. Always use a flexible anti-rotation tab on the outer shell. This lets the unit turn smoothly without putting bad strain on the inner bearings and seals.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What if the liquid seal breaks? Will oil leak into the electric wires?
No. We build a small safety chamber with a drain hole between the liquid seals and the electric brushes. If a seal wears out, the oil or water drips outside through the hole. It will never touch or short-circuit your electric wires.
Q2: Can we pass Ethernet or encoder signals without losing data?
Yes. We use metal shields inside to separate power wires from signal wires. This keeps electric noise low (under 10 mOhm) so your motor signals and Ethernet run smoothly without data loss.
Q3: How do I fix the slip ring to my machine during installation?
Do not lock both the shaft and the outer body tightly at the same time. You must leave a little room on the anti-rotation bracket so the slip ring can turn freely without pressing too hard on the inner bearings.
