OVERVIEW
The fiber+electrical slip rings is combined by two kinds of slip ring, one is fiber slip ring, another is electrical slip ring. In this hybrid slip ring, the electrical slip ring could be transmitting power, signal, or micro power signal required for automatic computer control, and added the fiber slip ring part for micro power signal.
This hybrid slip rings could solve the problem of optical signal and electrical signal transmission simultaneously during in 360° rotation operation. It is good choice for applications where unlimited, continuous or intermittent rotation are required, and large-capacity data and signals need to be transmitted from a fixed position to a rotating parts.
The adventage for this slip rings can be improved mechanical performance, simplify the system operation, and avoid the fiber demage while rotation.
